Frequently asked questions
Is an income affidavit the same as an income certificate?
No. The affidavit is your declaration. The certificate is issued by the competent authority, usually a revenue officer, after verification.
Which income should I include?
Follow the form or scheme rules. Some count only the applicant’s parents’ income, some the whole household, and some exclude certain incomes.
What if my income is from agriculture?
State it as agricultural income and attach land records if asked.
